Props for starting this board. Really. It was vey nice of you. And we all enjoy the fun karma feature.
But seriously, can you knock off the moving of threads? The only thing it accomplishes is pissing people off. All the members here are pretty much "misc board" people. We post on misc boards because we know that that is where the traffic is. On a board this size, it's actually counterproductive to categorize too much. So, yeah. Less of the topic moving, please.

If a thread belongs in a different area, then why keep it in the incorrect place? Phantom of Manhattan would obviously relate to ALW.

If a thread belongs in a different area, then why keep it in the incorrect place? Because this is a small board where very few of us venture past the miscellaneous board. Moving threads into subcategories is just going to get them ignored. Trust us on this.

Me three. I know you think it's for the best, and we appreciate it, but seriously, this is what tends to work for us.

I occasionally check the other forums but it is true that this one is by far the most active. I think it'll be OK as long as no further ones are added. The many sub-forums at M-f.net died out within a few months the site was launched. I think it's perfect the way it is now.
I also feel topics shouldn't be moved, even though there is a specific sub-forum for them already. Sometimes members want their topics to get the most exposure possible and the "Misc" forum is the place for that.
As others have said, thank you so much for creating this forum. You and Amber are doing a wonderful job. I appreciate this.

Some order has to be established, if you want to welcome new members. You can't just have one board. I purposely display that the thread was moved, so you guys can see it. I know where you are coming from, but I just think - some order has to be given.

No "order has to be established". Nothing has happened here to necessitate you telling people what to do. All you're doing right now is pissing people off and probably chasing them away.
When the majority of the users express an opinion, it is generally wise to follow their wishes. Read this thread again. MANY USERS HAVE RESPECTFULLY ASKED YOU TO STOP MOVING THREADS. It is annoying and it's condescending. And it will probably lead to people moving elsewhere.

New members are remarkably unlikely. We're not going to get anyone who's not pulled in intentionally/from M.net/MF.net. And I'm willing to bet they'd be okay with the big fat misc forum. I appreciate encouraging the smaller forums, but no one checks there. If we get a member jump and someone asks for it, then I see it. But just now, it's not necessary and is actually a little confusing.

Will I stop moving threads? No, if they are SO obviously belonging in a different category. If moving threads decides where you guys post, that's just stupid. The thread is still listed on the Miscellaneous - it's just not really there. I'm not trying to be a bitch about this at all - but you have to see both sides of this.

How many members do we have anyway? Not a whole lot. We are not advertising this place, as Drop Dead Red said. We might as well enjoy who we have here and cater to the majority's wishes.
